Memberships are available at 200 6th Street in Gowanus.
Writers who work with us get 24/7 access to workspace that's not their bedroom or a hectic coffee shop, plus free coffee all the time. The office has a small private space for calls as well as a balcony and rooftop (more photos below). We also have a community listserv and publication database, growing magazine library, and room for your spare books.
But the really important part is getting to work with other writers, discuss pitches, and talk shop. We run optional workshop events and pitch sessions so writers can get feedback on what they're working on and advice on how and where to place stories. WeWork, this is not.
Payments are processed automatically every 30 days from when a membership starts through a digital platform. We don't need deposits or time commitments but members must give 30 days' notice before changing a plan or leaving. Membership options are below, and other arrangements are negotiable. We are looking for additional cities to launch in and more ways to help writers and other freelancers. If you live outside of New York or are interested in a collective office space in a different neighborhood, please fill out this survey. If you are interested in partnering with us to open a space, please email email@example.com. The best way to help is to create a list of freelancers who are interested in working together in your city.
