Benjamin Swift Reported On The Health Risks of Deforestation

For The Guardian, Benjamin Swift reported on “the human stories captured in the results of a recent study that shows the human health benefits of keeping the Amazon intact.” According to Swift, the study shows “how preserving the Amazonian rainforest keeps communities safe from the health risks of wildfires and deforestation.” Swift told Study Hall, “I interviewed Indigenous activists and leaders, as well as the authors of the study, to write this article.”

Swift’s reporting has appeared in BioScience and Mongabay.
