Blair Glaser Wrote About Moving To Los Angeles
For the Los Angeles Times, Blair Glaser wrote about moving back to L.A. Glaser shared with Study Hall the process of landing her pitch: “Unless there’s a timely, splashy newsworthy hook, personal essays in periodicals are nearly impossible to sell. But I studied the LA:Affairs column because I knew I wanted to write one about taking a risk and moving to Los Angeles with my new husband at 50, even though my first move there after college was a disaster. I was thrilled when the editor accepted the essay a week after I pitched it. It went live the following week.”
