Andrea Javor Wrote A Satirical Piece About The Invasion of Chicago

For McSweeney’s, along with Asha Dore, Andrea Javor wrote a satirical letter to the troops in Chicago. Javor told Study Hall about the piece: “When I told my friend Asha Dore that my sweet hometown of Chicago was being invaded, we banded together to write a timely satirical piece about it. I sent her my ‘letter to the troops’ and she created brilliant artwork that made the piece absolutely come alive. Writing felt like the only powerful thing I could possibly do to help my friends and neighbors.”
