Andrea Javor Wrote About Lingering Feelings From A Divorce

by | May 14, 2025

For HuffPost, Andrea Javor wrote an essay about reconciling with her ex-husband’s ex.  Javor told Study Hall, “This story reveals my own mistakes in not seeing the important and beautiful role my ex’s ex (the mother of my stepkids) played in my life. It took a shocking split from him to realize who I should have focused on all along.”

She writes, “She was the woman I hated most yet needed in my life more than anyone. She’s the woman who made me a mom when I married her ex and after I divorced him. Maybe I should really thank my ex. He knows how to pick a good woman.”

Javor’s writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Slate, and other outlets.
