Andrew Rosenblum Reported On The Potential For Generative AI In Construction Sites
For MIT Technology Review, Andrew Rosenblum reported on how generative AI could potentially improve safety conditions on construction sites.
Rosenblum told Study Hall, “Safety measures cost money and slow down progress — so there’s an incentive to cut corners. For MIT Tech Review, I interviewed Philip Lorenzo, who is using a generative AI tool to “reason” about what it sees in digital replicas of construction sites, and send alerts about violations. It’s not 100% reliable, though, and experts cautioned that it should be used to help human safety managers — not to replace them.”
Rosenblum’s writing has been published in New Scientist, Popular Science, and Psychology Today.
