Study Hall is awarding a $2000 grant to an individual or team who wants to create a project. The micro-grant recipient will entirely own their project. Along with $2000 in funding, Study Hall will provide mentoring, advice, and some social promotion. Whether you create a newsletter, blog, social media account, or one-off experimental project, our hope is that you share what you’ve learned and inspire others in our community to create a project they own.
Deadline for submission into this round of grants is 7/18/23.
Apply here.
In a statement to the community, Matt Saincome wrote: “This is particularly special for me as my life journey was being a freelancer then starting my own publication (a wordpress site) with ~$800, and being at the right place at the right time with Facebook algorithms. I really hope this program can help us all learn about the possibilities and viability of starting our own things.”
Though the micro-grant program is focused towards Study Hall members, anyone can apply if they use the code “GRANT” to sign up for Study Hall (first month will be free).
