Anson Tong Wrote A Review of Lauren Rothery’s Television

For The Brooklyn Rail, Anson Tong reviewed Lauren Rothery’s novel Television. Tong told Study Hall, “ It’s a story about luck, love, and a movie star trying to lottery off all his earnings from a movie.” 

Tong writes, “Television is a mordantly stylish debut, brimming with astute observations about making meaning and making art, pointedly reminding the reader that the two can be convergent but cannot be conflated.”
