Hope Reese’s New Book Is About Women Being Pushed To The Edge
Hope Reese’s upcoming book, The Women Are Not Fine, is about “survival, power, and what happens when women are pushed to the edge.”
Reese told Study Hall, “A century ago, in a quiet village in Hungary, a group of women launched a crime ring that led to one of the deadliest mass poisonings in history. Most of the victims? Their husbands. In my first book, The Women Are Not Fine, I turned to the archives to understand what happened — and to uncover the lives behind the headlines.”
Reese’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, Vox, The Atlantic, and The Cut.
