Jacqueline LeKachman Wrote About a Rare, Underdiagnosed Form of Alopecia That Mostly Impacts Women

For Slate, Jacqueline LeKachman published an essay about a rare form of alopecia. LeKachman told Study Hall, “I wrote about trying to cope with my rare hair loss disease, including both the physical treatment and the mental toll of convincing myself, as a 25-year-old woman, that I am not a middle-aged man just because I do a comb-over to hide the sparse spots on my scalp.”
