For Sojourners, Kathryn Stelmach Artuso wrote about the aftermath of ICE raids in Ventura County, California. Artuso’s article spotlights the churches that have stepped in to help families with parents who have been detained or deported. Artuso told Study Hall, “With assistance from international berry growers Reiter Affiliated Companies, the nonprofits Local Love Project and Food Share, and with collection centers at some public schools in the area, the organization Friends of Fieldworkers distributed more than 900 bags of groceries to farmworkers and families affected by the raids.”
Artuso’s writing has appeared in Los Angeles Daily News, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, and Pasadena Star-News.
