For Counterpunch, Richard Klin wrote a review of John Sayles’ novel To Save The Man.
Klin told Study Hall, “ I have huge admiration for the films of John Sayles, but have been slightly perplexed that his fiction has not garnered much more attention. I hope this review of his new novel will spread the word.”
In his review, Klin writes, “There is a good amount of fiction these days that is self-consciously “edgy” or imbued with pseudo-profundities. Sayles’s fiction is imbued with real profundities and—sadly–more relevant than ever. He occupies a vital, discrete literary perch.”
Klin’s writing has appeared in Jewish Currents and Brooklyn Rail.
