Popescu has written for The New York Times to Bloomberg Businessweek, traveling on assignment from Asia to Africa. He’s covered climate to crypto and AI, breaking Hunter Biden’s art career, reporting from war zones and writing front page stories on the pandemic and protests both solo and with Pulitzer Prize winners. He specializes in narrative magazine style features and has published a novel based on his BBC reporting from Everest, which Publisher’s Weekly called ‘a perfect fit for book clubs.’
