Study Hall Member Mark Yarm Profiled Graphic Novelist Emil Ferris

For Vulture, Mark Yarm, a Study Hall member, profiled graphic novelist Emil Ferris whose new book My Favorite Thing Is Monsters: Book Two is out now. In the profile, Yarm explores the success of My Favorite Thing Is Monsters, a graphic novel about a “10-year-old girl from Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood who portrays herself as a werewolf and yearns for ‘the bite’ to transform her into an actual monster possessing eternal life.” The profile also touches upon Ferris’s upbringing and unique style.
