Sydney Bollinger Shared Her Experience With Menopause At Age 29
For Slate, Sydney Bollinger wrote a personal essay about her experience taking Lupron, a controversial drug to treat endometriosis that induces menopause.
Bollinger writes, “For much of my life, I wasted time and hope on both medical and homeopathic treatment methods ranging from NuvaRing and oral birth control to cycle syncing and herbalism. Nothing worked.”
Bollinger’s writing has appeared in Charleston City Paper, Carolina Muse, INTO, Slay Away, and other publications.
