by | May 21, 2024

For ESSENCE, Taylor Crumpton, a Study Hall member, wrote about the history of Black reality TV on Bravo, analyzing how shows like Summer House, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard, and Southern Charm are creating space for young Black millennials to tell their stories. According to Crumpton, “the collective that grew up on the Housewives with their mothers, aunties, and cousins, now have a place to feel seen in the stories of Preston Mitchum, Gabby Prescod, and Venita Aspen and many others.”

Crumpton has written for TIME, Essence, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
