Study Hall Member Ben Cherry Wrote A Satirical Essay About Virtue Signaling

by | July 10, 2024

For Hard Drive, Ben Cherry wrote a satirical article about the “way social media drives us to be hyper-critical of our and others’ media consumption, even when we have no stakes in the metaphorical game.”

In his piece, Cherry takes on the perspective of a righteous poster, writing, “Hi, it’s me, your friendly neighborhood terminally online Tumblr holdout/virtue-signaling Twitter user/parasocial internet nobody.”

He has written other satirical pieces for Hard Drive about video games and BoJack Horseman.
