Study Hall Member Hoang Samuelson Wrote About A Book That Changed Her Life

by | July 11, 2024

Hoang Samuelson was spotlighted on “Whatever It Takes”, a newsletter.  She wrote about Aravind Adiga’s The White Tiger, which has been adapted into a film for Netflix. Samuelson notes, “It’s a story that I only read after seeing the movie, and it’s about the lengths to which one would go to achieve their dreams. But it’s not your typical rags-to-riches story; rather, it has a rather sinister tone, which I loved. If you enjoy stories about questionable morality, then this is for you.”

In her blog post, Samuelson reflects on how “Reading the book forced me to think about the lengths to which one would go to achieve their dreams and what meant for my own dreams.”

Samuelson’s writing has appeared in Paste Magazine, Catapult, and Joysauce.
