Michele Wojciechowski Wrote About Finding Joy During A Dark Time
For Next Avenue, Michele Wojciechowski wrote an essay about her healing experience at a Duran Duran concert.
Wojciechowski told Study Hall. “Without a doubt, 2024 was the absolute worst year of my life. On Easter, my husband and I had to help our dog, Riley, cross the proverbial Rainbow Bridge; in June, our closest friend and neighbor, who was living with us while receiving cancer treatment unexpectedly died; and in November, my closest friend from college died after a long battle with cancer. I felt empty. Like life would never be good again. Grief was strong.”
She added, “But splurging on second-row concert tickets ended up giving me a tiny gleam of hope and happiness in my otherwise dark-cloud world. I could have never guessed that Duran Duran would help me so much.”
