How to List or Promote an Opportunity with Study Hall
The best ways to work with us to get exposure for your job, gig, or pitch call.
For Members
Members can post job listings, pitch calls, or gigs in any of our channels whenever they want. On the Listserv, feel free to start a new thread with the opportunity, as long as it’s appropriately paid. On Slack, use the #jobs-pitchcalls channel. Subscribe to Study Hall here. (Members wanting to list in our newsletters follow the same instructions below.)
To promote your own projects, newsletters, or events, please use the devoted threads and Slack channels. (See the User’s Guide.)
For Non-Members & NewslettersÂ
Study Hall is a great place for editors or hiring managers to post pitch calls or jobs, reaching our community of 5,000+ media workers at the same time. Our Opportunities newsletter goes out every Thursday with hundreds of gigs.
We consider all opportunities for the newsletter and include 90% of those submitted to us, though we can’t guarantee placement. Please fill out this form with information about your freelance opportunity, including 1-2 sentences of description, rates, and an email contact as applicable. If you would like to list a media job, please fill out this form. Tagging us on Twitter @studyhallxyz is also helpful. We rarely answer Twitter DMs. For any other questions, email [email protected].
Classified AdsÂ
The only way to guarantee placement for your job, pitch call, or project is to buy a classified ad. Media Classifieds run every Tuesday at the top of the Digest newsletter and every Thursday at the top of the Opportunities newsletter.
