Study Hall Member Peter Moore Wrote About His Contribution To A Mask Exhibition

by | June 12, 2024

For Front Range NPR, Peter Moore wrote and illustrated a piece about a mask he contributed to the Museum of Art Fort Collins. The exhibition asked participants to present a mask which conveys what “face” they want to show to the world. In his piece, Monroe explores how the notion of identity “whether concealed or revealed” is a “fraught subject” and that it’s a “luxury to pull on the same societal mask everyone is wearing.” He draws from Oscar Wilde to explore how masks may present a sense of truth.
